PBB Unlimited Weekly Recap: 11/13-11/19 {Comments Off}
Once again, PBB (both UnliDAY and UnliNIGHT) have gone through several changes once more throughout this past week. At the beginning of the week, we were introduced to two sets of reserved housemates who are on the line of becoming official housemates: The 3Gs and the Power Strangers. The 3Gs invade the slums while the Power Strangers invade the industrial house. In addition, just right before the end of the week, we were also introduced to a brand-new house that’s seriously much grander and more higher-end than that of the Industrial House that the UnliDAY housemates are currently occupying. We simply call it for now as Kuya’s “Grand Mansion.” Who will end up in this majestic and hip house? Let’s do the recap.
Please keep in mind that I’m basing this recap from the aired episodes, not from the 24/7 LS. I know many of you watch 24/7 LS, however keep in mind that majority of the population in the Philippines still don’t have internet connection, let alone subscribed to TFC, and basing everything from 24/7 would only give spoilers to those who don’t want to be spoiled. UnliDAY

- House: Industrial
- Weekly Task: Tower of Cards. The housemates must construct a tower using several decks of playing cards at the same height as the tallest housemate in the house. In this case, Seiichi (who stands at around 5’10″-5’11″).
- Weekly Task Result: Failure. Seiichi is just way too tall. He even sacrificed himself to “cut” himself short (by dressing up as a toddler and only walking around the house on his knees) so the housemates would be able to build the tower at a shorter height. With only given 8 hours to complete, the housemates were still unable to complete the task.
- Secret Task(s): Mark and Kim must continue on keeping their real relationship to one another hidden from the rest of the housemates; Erica must become a hidden detective and find two of the housemates who have close relations to each other prior to entering PBB. The latter secret task completely coincides with that of Mark and Kim’s secret task, which leaves the three in competition with one another without being aware. Mark and Kim become the ones in hiding, Erica becomes the hunter.
- Secret Task(s): Erica, with the help of Paco (and a few evidences gathered and personal accounts and observations from the rest of the housemates) succeeded in revealing Mark and Kim as being those two housemates who are intimate with one another before entering PBB. As a result, Erica and Paco receives immunity from getting nominated to be evicted, while Mark and Kim (due to the failure of their secret task) receive automatic nominations to be evicted from the house for good. On the day after that initial “court hearing,” Erica’s daughter’s birthday is the next day, and Erica exchanges her immunity so she may have a chance to send her daughter (who lives in Japan) a birthday gift and also able to contact with each other via webcam.
- Daily Task(s) Assigned:
- The housemates must mingle with each of the Power Strangers everyday.
- The housemates ran out of decks of cards for their tower and requested Kuya for more additional decks of cards. Kuya, with the help of the Power Strangers, created a game in which each housemate must pass on one card from housemate to housemate using their suctioned lips until the deck of 52 cards is finished. Any cards that fall from their lips no longer count. The housemates were able to pass 31 out of 52 cards, which in exchange, they receive 31 additional decks of cards.
- The housemates must vote and decide which one of the three Power Strangers they would want to become an official housemate through voting or through other games.
- Housemates Nominated for Eviction: Kim, Mark (automatically nominated)
- Housemates Immune from Nomination: Paco
- Housemates Evicted: none
- Power Strangers Results: Reg (Red Power Stranger) becomes the new official housemate in UnliDAY.
- Status Unknown: Jaz, Seiichi
What happened…?
On the first day of the week, some of the housemates began noticing Mark and Kim getting rather close with one another while being aware that both of them have their own significant others outside the house. During the confession room session with Kuya, Mark admitted that he was no longer minding about their secret task and took the risk of being openly affectionate with each other thinking the housemates may not suspect that they are real-life lovers. As the rulebook goes, a task is a task and when one is assigned with a task, that task must be done regardless of the results. Kuya must have gotten a hint that both Mark and Kim are disregarding the task that was given to them and that somehow prompted him to test the couple by calling in Erica for a secret task. Her task was to find and expose two of her fellow housemates who may have relations to each other, or to be more specific have a romantic relationship with each other.
Prior to assigning Erica her task, Paco already had a bit of jealousy when he noticed Mark and Kim becoming rather intimate with one another and admitting it to Seiichi. Seiichi, on the other hand, already had his strong suspicions first that Mark and Kim already knew each other before they entered PBB house.
Erica began by asking questions to each of the housemates regarding their backgrounds. She even made her first guesses of three pairs she may have suspected to be the ones who already knew each other well before entering PBB. Struggling with her findings, Kuya allowed her to have a partner to continue her investigation. In this case, he chose Paco, whom once Erica had clashes with in the past, to be her partner. Paco already suspected about Mark and Kim and decided for the two of them to talk to the couple without being obvious. They also gathered evidence based on Mark and Kim’s accounts regarding their significant others and their favorite things to prove to Kuya that their suspicions were correct. When everything was complete, Kuya calls in Naprey to pick up a subpoena notice from the storage room, assigned to both Mark and Kim.
Kuya decided to have both parties have a mock court session and have the housemates decide which one of the two sides is correct. Erica and Paco must prove that Mark and Kim are indeed lovers in real life, while Mark and Kim must continue on with their secret task by convincing the rest of the party that they are not lovers in real life. After hearing both sides, the rest of the housemates led by Naprey pitched in their personal accounts and opinions and obsevations, which lead them in to concluding that Erica and Paco are correct that Mark and Kim are lovers in real life before entering PBB.
With a strong argument, evidence, and careful observations, Kuya ended Mark and Kim’s secret task and declared the couple automatically nominated for eviction. Erica and Paco were declared immune in to getting nominated, however Erica exchanged her immunity to be able to contact with her daughter back in Japan as well as presenting her a birthday gift.
In the meantime, the Power Strangers were assigned different tasks that should give the housemates their worth and reason why they should choose one of them to be an official housemate. At the end of the week, Reg (Red Power Stranger) becomes officially a new housemate of UnliDAY.
After the happenings within the UnliNIGHT housemates (see below), Jaz and Seiichi were advised by Kuya to start packing their bags as they will be entering a brand-new journey and experience within PBB without letting the rest of their housemates knowing. Seiichi already had a hunch that he and Jaz would be leaving the Industrial House for good, however Kuya only reminded him to just trust him on this one.
UnliNIGHT

- House: “Looban”1
- Weekly Task: The housemates must take care of their new pet, a remote-control powered inflatable clownfish named “Fifi” by controlling and keeping it afloat on air without holding the fish or letting the fish touch the ground or bump in to anything else on the way for the entire week. If they succeed, they win their weekly budget for the coming week.
- Weekly Task Result: Failure on the first day of the week, just barely an hour after they began when Carlo and Wendy lost control of the fish by floating it up too high, eventually flying away all the way to the sky. Despite their failure, Kuya gave them a chance to plead for help from the viewers by finding the fish and return them to the housemates. The lucky viewer who finds and returns Fifi will have a chance to meet the housemates, along with whatever canned food they have left for the week.
- Secret Task(s): Slater, after being automatic nominated for his failure and backing out of his first weekly task involving Joya, was given another secret task, which involves their new three alluring guests known as The 3Gs. Slater must help the 3Gs become official housemates by having all the male housemates unanimously accept them. If Slater fails this task, he will be force evicted. What he did not know until later was that in exchange for the 3Gs to become official housemates, he and the rest of the boys would have to vote three of their current female housemates to be evicted from their house in order for the 3Gs to take their place.
- Secret Task Result: Success on Slater’s part, but because not all the boys were in favor of letting the 3Gs become official housemates, only one of them would only become an official housemates. In exchange for the 3Gs placement in the house, the boys voted Diane, Joya, and Wendy to be evicted from the house. However, what the UnliNIGHT housemates were not aware of was that Diane, Joya, and Wendy were actually transferred to Kuya’s brand-new and super-swanky 3rd house that we only know as “Kuya’s Mansion.”
- Daily Task(s) Assigned:
- The UnliNIGHT housemates, especially the boys, have been having a ball for this entire week involving their new sensual and sexy guests, The 3Gs. The boys were assigned to hang out and mingle with The 3Gs at Kuya’s Resort.
- The UnliNIGHT girls also had their share of fun and partying by having a ball at Kuya’s House along with Carlo.
- Housemates Nominated for Eviction: Slater (automatic nomination)
- Housemates Evicted: Diane, Joya, Wendy (or so they think…)
What happened…?
The 3Gs, like the Power Strangers on UnliDAY, also came from Kuya’s reserved housemates who are also in bid for placement as official housemates of this season’s PBB. As a result from Slater’s automatic nomination for backing out from his task involving Joya (which is actually against the PBB rulebook by the way), Kuya gave him another task that could seriously risk him from being forced evicted and lose his placement in PBB. His new task was to help the 3Gs become official housemates by convincing the rest of the male housemates to accept them in to the house. However, what Slater doesn’t know is that other than saving himself from being force evicted, his success can also cost placement on three of his fellow current housemates, more specifically, the female housemates.
The 3Gs were also given specific tasks by Kuya day by day involving the UnliNIGHT males. They were given access to fun, relaxation, food, alcohol, and mingling at Kuya’s resort and the boys get their chance in getting to know these ladies. Meanwhile back at the “looban,” the female housemates were becoming suspicious of their male housemates’ hidden activities. Eventually, Kuya gave the ladies a chance to take their cake and eat it too by giving them a day off at his resort from getting drunk to having a fun time at the pool. In the middle of the week, the 3Gs were given a task that would give them the opportunity on living in the current house with both the male and female housemates.
At that time, it was a sure bet that Slater must have convinced the boys to permit the 3Gs in becoming official housemates. However, when they learned that Kuya was going to have the 3Gs replace three of their current female housemates, some of the boys were beginning to have doubts. The boys then discussed this matter together and because majority rules on this one, they voted on three female housemates: Diane, Joya, and Wendy, to be evicted from the house for the 3Gs’ placement.
Tears and hugs were exchanged with each other when the boys announced regarding their acceptance of the 3Gs within the house, sending Diane, Joya, and Wendy packing and leaving the “looban” house. What the UnliNIGHT housemates did not know was that the three voted to exit the “looban” were actually transferred to Kuya’s new home, so huge, swanky, and fancy that it even beats the design and structure of the Industrial House, that karma was actually on the side of the three female houseamtes evicted. The 3Gs, on the other hand, received news from Kuya that they did not get a unanimous vote from the boys that only one of the 3Gs can only become the official housemate.
On the side, Biggel was held back by Kuya as all the UnliNIGHT Housemates were allowed to have fun again at Kuya’s Resort. It turns out that Biggel was going to meet his childhood idol (and his lady love Tin’s father), legendary PBA basketball player Alvin Patrimonio in commemoration of the latter’s birthday, to get to know him and play one-on-one basketball. This of course gave the chance for both Biggel and Alvin, with Biggel looking up to him as his idol but at the same time nervous because he is the father of the girl he’s in love with, while Alvin wanted to get to now the young man who declared to his daughter that his heart is very “high voltage.”
First Nomination Night and the Upcoming Complexity
With three housemates already automatically nominated due to their failures at their secret tasks, UnliDAY housemates Kim and Mark, as well as UnliNIGHT housemate Slater, are the first three to be nominated for eviction from the house. However we all know that we still have to consider the housemates who will be nominated by their fellow housemates altogether. Tomorrow’s Unli-WEEKEND episode (11/20) will be PBBU‘s very first nomination night.
The upcoming complexity that we will be facing starting tomorrow involves the third house, known as “Kuya’s Mansion,” and of course, a major shuffling of UnliDAY and UnliNIGHT housemates, and possibly new housemates will be introduced yet again to occupy all three existing houses. “Evicted” UnliNIGHT housemates, Diane, Joya, and Wendy were the first to enter and occupy the mansion, and from the looks of the ending previews for tomorrow’s episode, UnliDAY housemates Jaz and Seiichi will soon join the three ladies in the new house.
Who else will be joining the third house along with the first five occupants? Will there be more coming from UnliDAY and UnliNIGHT housemates? How about the other two evicted Power Strangers (RJ and Kulas) and even the 3Gs? Have we seen the last of them this week?
