PBB Unlimited: 2nd Nominations, Voluntary Exit, and the Big Switch {Comments Off}

Nominations 11/28/2011

2nd Nominations

Normally on PBB history, Nomination Days often occur every Sundays, but because of the major changes and surprising news that was revealed yesterday, the 2nd Nomination Day was moved to today (Monday) on two different times: Daytime (for UnliDAY) and Nighttime (for UnliNIGHT).

For today’s nominations, six housemates total (three per house) were revealed to be nominated. With the viewers’ power to save or to evict the housemate(s) they choose, two (one per house) will be evicted this coming Saturday (12/03/2011). As the rule goes, the one with the least net percentage of votes will be evicted from PBB for good.

Wayuk (UnliDAY) Nominations

The results for the gender debate came out, which was left for the viewers to vote on a poll at the Official PBB4 FB Fanpage. With an overwhelming 2,000+ votes compared to 800+ votes, the girls win the Gender Wars Week competition. This means that all females in the UnliDAY household are immune to getting nominated for eviction this week. In addition, because the girls were able to retrieve the medallion from the boys at one of their Gender Wars task, the girls’ choosing of Paco in becoming part of the girls team (turning himself in to “Paquita”) also made Paco immune to the nominations for the second time.

Ryan, the brand-new official housemate, was still brand-new and therefore exempted from the nominations. This leaves Kevin, Mark, Unad, Reg, and Naprey in danger of getting nominated. After adding up nomination points, Unad, Reg, and Naprey became the second set of housemates nominated for eviction this week.

Which one of the following UnliDAY nominees do you want to evict?

  • Reg (72%, 95 Votes)
  • Unad (16%, 21 Votes)
  • Naprey (12%, 16 Votes)

Total Voters: 132

High Voltage (UnliNIGHT) Nominations

UnliNIGHT housemates’ situation regarding nominations also had a twist regarding immunity from nominations among the housemates. Kuya, for the final time, brings in the ever-lovable RC-controlled balloon fish, Fifi, as part of a special task. There is an obstacle course that the housemates must control Fifi to go through them and complete the course with only a time limit of 5 minutes. They must control Fifi through the hoops with the confession room as the starting point and the bedroom as the finish line. Whichever four housemates receives the fastest time to complete the course wins the very valuable price from Kuya: The HoH (Head of Household) status. These four HoH housemates will not only become the leaders of the entire house for a week, but they also become immune to this week’s nominations.

At the end of the Fifi obstacle course, the top four who held the fastest time were (in order from fastest to slowest): Carlo, Deniesse, Seiichi, and Divine. The four were awarded the HoH medals, giving them “higher power” over the housemates, as well as immunity to this week’s nomination. However, there is another twist that was to come later that highly involves them. Just keep reading.

Along with the four, newest housemate Seth is also exempted from the nominations since he just arrived there. This leaves the following in danger for nomination: Slater, Kigoy, Biggel, Tin, Eting, Tol, Casey, Joya, Wendy, Luz, and even former UnliDAY housemate Jaz.

The nomination point results were very overwhelming, however the final results are even more shocking as one of those decided to call it quits and decided to return to the outside world for good. The final results ended up with Tol (for the second time), Casey, and Wendy.

Which one of the following Team HIGH VOLTAGE nominees do you want to save?

  • Tol (40%, 69 Votes)
  • Wendy (38%, 65 Votes)
  • Casey (22%, 38 Votes)

Total Voters: 172

Voluntary Exit

Jaz - Voluntary Exit

We all know that in PBB (and Big Brother in general) that there are special cases in which certain housemates would like to exit the house for their own personal reasons. In the case of this season’s PBB, we’ve already got our first housemate who requested a voluntary exit from PBB for good: UnliNIGHT housemate Jaz.

Jaz’s reasoning for her voluntary exit rquest with Kuya was simply because she really misses the ones she loves outside the house and of course, her old life being a model. Somehow, there must be a whole deeper reason as to why from out of the blue that she would suddenly want to call it quits being a housemate at this very early stage. Perhaps she found herself a vulnerability among the newly-established Team High Voltage and is afraid that she may just drag the entire team down during the course of the competition between the two houses.

Another whole reason could be because of the major switch. Just last weekend, she and housemate Seiichi were transferred by Kuya from the Industrial house to the grand mansion to become part of the UnliNIGHT housemates, and when the Big Switch was announced that the UnliNIGHT HoH’s chose her as one of the housemates they offered to the UnliDAY housemates to choose to be part of the Team Wayuk, only in the end that her former UnliDAY housemates did not want her back in their household, while the latter was chosen to return to his former house. Maybe this made her realize that both houses see her as a liability and felt somehow unwanted. Could this be the reason why she decided to call it quits?1

What about this week’s nominations? Going back to the overwhelming nomination points accumulation among the housemates, it turned out that Jaz held the highest number of nomination points coming from the housemates, with 15 points compared to Wendy’s 11, Tol’s 6 and Casey’s 5. General reasons from housemates stated that her excess chats about boys and sex, her life outside the house, and her disinterest in the given tasks in the mansion made the housemates feel that she doesn’t belong in this house. They could be the same reasons why the HoH housemates chose her as one of the choices they offered the UnliDAY housemates to take away from them. It’s possible that Jaz felt that she may have made a lot of mistakes and that she may have offended many of the UnliNIGHT housemates that she is afraid that once she gets nominated, she’ll be evicted by the public for sure. She may have had gut feelings that she would indeed be nominated to be evicted from the house this week.

But, let’s not speculate and analyze her decision to voluntary exit the house. Bottom line is that she has made her decision to leave PBB for good and go back to her original world, her original life. Let’s all be sporty viewers and supporters and simply respect her decision, whether you like her or not.

We wish you well and we wish you the best, Jaz. We’re sure that with your exposure and your experience from the house, even if it’s just a short time, would surely lead you forward to a long, successful, and fulfilling endeavors.

The Big Switch

Seiichi and Luz - UnliDAY

Transfers from UnliNIGHT

As mentioned from the previous entry, in order for the number of housemates to be even with each other during the course of the house competitions, Kuya gave the UnliDAY housemates the power to choose two from a select of UnliNIGHT housemates to join their team. On this process, Kuya assigned Jessica to pick four more of her fellow housemates as their interviewing panel except for Paco, Pamu, Kevin, and Kim (being that the four are part of the first original housemates who entered the house). Eventually, Mark, Unad, Steph, and Lyn volunteered to join Jessica in the interviewing process prior to selecting their two UnliNIGHT housemates to join their house.

At the UnliNIGHT side, The HoH housemates, Carlo, Seiichi, Divine, and Deniesse are assigned to choose four of their own to be offered as choices for the UnliDAY housemates to pick. After discussion, they chose four whom they feel may be liabilities to the High Voltage Team: Kigoy, Jaz, Luz, and Tol. When the four were called, Kuya also reveals that the HoH housemates themselves are also included as choices for the UnliDAY housemates to choose. In short, all eight of them (four HoH housemates + four chosen UnliNIGHT housemates by the HoH’s) will be the options that the UnliDAY housemates may choose.

Each of the eight were called in for the interviewing process. The five reps of the UnliDAY housemates were blindfolded so they’re not able to see how these eight housemates look like while they ask questions. Afterwards, they were given a chance to touch and feel each of the interviewed housemates. After eight of them were interviewed (including former UnliDAY housemates Seiichi and Jaz), the UnliDAY reps discussed their suggestions and decisions on which lucky guy and lucky girl among the eight will become the two new UnliDAY housemates.

All five agreed on choosing Luz as their new female housemate out of the eight, while as for the guys, Carlo and Seiichi were their two top picks. For one, Carlo is one of the UnliNIGHT’s strongest, most capable housemates and they do need more brains and brawn in their team, however, Mark believed that “blood is thicker than water,” meaning it’s also best to choose the one they are most familiar with: Seiichi.

In the end, they chose one brains and brawn housemate (Luz) and chose the housemate they are closest to and favored more among the eight (Seiichi). From an outside perspective, I think another reason why they chose Seiichi to return to UnliDAY housemates, not because that the UnliDAY reps miss him badly and not because Seiichi himself wanted back in the UnliDAY housemates, but because Seiichi also has a strong advantage of being familiar with their opposing team, being one of the two (Jaz being the other) to experience and spend their time in the grand mansion with the UnliNIGHT housemates for a week. What everyone is thinking right now at this point is between Seiichi and Jaz, why the UnliDAY housemates decide to choose Seiichi to come back to their housemates and leave Jaz with the UnliNIGHT housemates? Could this be one of the unknown, unrevealed reasons why Jaz wanted a voluntary exit?
