It all starts out as a white lie. When it turns out well and serves its purpose, another lie is necessary to reinforce the little white lie… and another one–soon enough you find yourself tangled in an intricate web of lies that makes it difficult to get out of. A bad deed, no matter how small, can do damage to relationships… and relationships based on lies, more often than not, don’t work.
Personal Taste is a Korean drama that tackles this simple yet provocative topic that is prevalent in any society, race or culture–with a grain of salt and flavored with comedy–making it fun to watch, easy to understand yet interestingly thoughtful in its approach. But no matter how deceivingly innocent it may seem at first, a white lie comes back to haunt you in the end–leaving damaged relationships in its wake. Whether we choose to bite the bullet and claim responsibility for it or not, will determine the destiny of any relationship.
